Elise Miller began her personal training career as a Performance Fitness client in 2011. Boot camp and Kettlebell classes were the perfect fit for Elise’s goals—and her sense of humor. Before she knew it, she was in love—not only with her results, but with the Performance Fitness community, and with training. Now, she is an ACE-certified personal trainer, qualified TRX instructor and SFG I Kettlebell instructor, who cites Michelle as a fantastic mentor, teacher and friend.
Her biggest fitness motivations are sanity and confidence. Elise says, “Training has done more for my self-esteem and sense of inner calm than yoga, therapy and a pile of self-help books combined. Believe me, I’ve tried it all…” An aesthetically banging physique, health, strength and power all tie for second place as motivations.
Elise’s Favorite Exercises?: Bodyweight feats like handstand pushups, one-armed pushups, pistol squats, L-sits and pull-ups. Elise also loves deadlifts, hip thrusts, and Kettlebell met-cons.
For Fitness inspiration: Figure competitors Erin Stern, Andreia Brazier, Jen Jewell and Ashley Horner inspire Elise with their ridiculous physiques, and the Performance Fitness community—with their commitment, determination, inner and outer strength, and of course their witty banter—keep Elise going every day.
Elise is also a published novelist, essayist and blogger. Her romantic comedy novel Star Craving Mad was published by Spark Press, and her upcoming novel Tracing the Bones, will be available June 14, 2016. Read more about her at eliseamiller.com.
